To enhance the health of individuals through nutrition education and culinary experience.
Healthy Americans equipped with the knowledge to create flavorful, artistic, and nourishing meals.
Working with two professionals who make nutrition fun and yummy is such a treat.  They both have made our culinary trainings for school nutrition staff throughout ESC Region 12 not only informative but entertaining and inspiring.  We can’t wait to have them back for another event very soon!
Yum! Yum! Yum!  To Taste serves up excellent dishes!  I am always telling my students what great food tastes like and this is it!
Raylynn Jansing, 7th Grade Science Teacher, Hurst Junior High
Vahista Ussery, I am convinced, knows everything there is to know about food and nutrition. Even more important, though, she is able to convey her message in such a non-threatening way that anyone she advises will be inspired to make changes in his or her life. She regularly speaks to my college students, and they repeatedly mention her vast knowledge, her impressive career trajectory, and her ability to help them make simple, powerful changes in their eating habits and lives.
Ruth McAdams, Ph.D., Professor of English, Tarrant County College
Chef Vahista is my favorite Blue Zones Project® Volunteer Chef! She’s the most qualified, knowledgeable, and reliable chef I know, which is why she’s the first one I call when I’m trying to fill a Cooking Demonstration. Chef V always brings her “A” game with great energy and a very relatable presentation style. She’s very easy to work with and the audience always loves her! I’ve seen Chef V do dozens of cooking demos and I learn something new every time.
